"Dog" heart " is a novella by Mikhail Bulgakov, written in 1925. The plot centers onthe story of the transformation of a dog named Sharik into a man named Sharikov thanks to the experiments of the doctor Preobrazhensky. 
 
The doctor performs an operation, as a result of which Sharikov gains human features and intelligence. However, despite the acquired abilities, Sharikov turns out to be rude and ignorant, which leads to conflicts with society and others. 
 
The work touches on themes of morality, human nature, social changes in Russia after the revolution, and the absurdity of some scientific experiments. In the end, Preobrazhensky is forced to return Sharikov to his canine nature, emphasizing that human qualities do not always depend on appearance. 
 
The book is full of satire and criticism of Soviet society, as well as reflections on human nature.
